Safe food to the frontline soldiers in Yantai

With the advent of the Gengzi year, the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in the country and 1.4 billion Chinese were faced with this great challenge. In the face of this grave pandemic, the nation was deeply concerned as the number of confirmed cases rose. To turn the situation around as soon as possible, everyone in the country followed the lead of the government to not only support Wuhan but also protect their own cities so that we could defeat the pandemic as soon as possible.

As a food company from Yantai, Shinho wanted to contribute to the fight against COVID-19 and defend our country. During this time, we learned that many of the workers on the front line had been extremely overworked.

While ensuring sufficient supply for people's daily life, we decided to donate 600 kg of fresh organic vegetables and 840 kg high-quality rice from Xukong Farm, together with more than 600 boxes of Shinho's condiments and snacks, to the canteen at Yantai Development Zone.

To ensure the quality of the ingredients, all the donated organic vegetables are picked on the same day. Everything during the picking and packing process had been disinfected. The picking and delivery staff as well as the delivery vehicles were carefully protected. The supplies were delivered to some government institution canteens in the development zone to provide safe meals for those front line workers.

In order to win this battle, Shinho also set up an emergency prevention team at the first opportunity to monitor the health of all staff. Based on the announcement published by the pandemic management office in each area, we delayed the time for our staff to return to work for the Lunar New Year holiday, adjusted business trips, meeting and work arrangements. The company took initiatives to protect our staff as they returned to work. We arranged all offices to be disinfected and built health records for everyone. While protecting the safety of our staff, we gradually resumed our production to ensure market supply.

Meanwhile, to ensure an adequate supply of essential products, our food advisors had been continuing their work. During this special time, we required the advisors not to come forward to talk to the customers without being asked to. Food advisors should keep a safe distance from the customers and only provide help when it's needed.

The cruel pandemic never stopped us from caring and helping. We believe that with solidarity and determination, China will win this battle against COVID-19 soon.
