On the afternoon of August 27 2022, the highly anticipated "2022 4th Shandong Province Chef Art Festival" ended successfully at the Yantai International Expo Centre. Let's look back at moments of great excitement together!

WEI DA MEI 3rd Chef Competition

As the exclusive titleholder of this year's festival, Shionho provided condiments for the 3rd Chef (Service) Innovation and Excellence Competition.
A total of 153 outstanding contestants from across the province competed in three categories: Chinese cooking, Chinese cold dishes and carving. The chefs showcased their skills and played the most beautiful "kitchen harmonies", and the judges highly praised every dish.
At Shinho's booth, four famous chefs were invited to attend: Yan Weixing, Li Xinfa, Lv Shimin and Ma Wenjun, bringing delicious dishes in the Shandong cuisine style.
After the competition, more than 130 participants, restaurant owners and association leaders went to visit Xinhe Group for a study tour, during which they visited the Shinho exhibition display, the high-salt dilute fermentation process of Shinho soy sauce, witnessed how soy sauce fungus listen to music and experienced Shinho's specialities.

Chefs cuisine showcase their excellence

The event specially invited three masters of Shandong cuisine, Wang Yonggui, Shang Wenbin and Sun Jianguo, to perform their skills on-site. The master chefs used their exquisite skills to produce delicious and elaborate dishes, promoting the innovative development of Shandong Cuisine.

Shandong styled banquets

With the theme of carrying forward the Shandong cuisine culture, famous food enterprises in Shandong showcased more than 20 exquisite banquets, including Confucius Banquet, Canal Banquet, Ming Lake Banquet and Confucian Style Peony Banquet, fully demonstrating the long-standing banquet culture of the land of Shandong.
The Shandong Chef Art Exhibition invited chefs from all over the province to create and display their special skills, such as calligraphy, painting, photography, face painting, sugar art and carving, to enjoy the art of "artisanship" and reflect the spirit of caterers in the new era.

The award ceremony

The development of Shandong Cuisine needs Shandong master chefs to carry on their inheritance and keeps on innovating. A number of advanced individuals and enterprises are commended for their outstanding contribution to the development of Shandong Cuisine by taking home titles, including Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Shandong Cuisine, Shandong Culinary Artisan, Shandong Best Executive Chef and Excellent Manager of Shandong Restaurant. By "setting industry benchmarks and commending advanced models", the awards inspire the catering industry practitioners in the province to strive for excellence and assure the brilliance and prosperity of Shandong Cuisine.
At the award ceremony, Yantai Shinho took home the Special Contribution Award in recognition of our strong support for the event!
