Food Safety Week | Eat Smart and Enjoy Life with Shinho

On the 20th of June, the 2019 National Food Safety Promotion Week opened at Beijing Science Centre. Hosted by China Association for Science and Technology, the event had a theme of Eat Smart and Enjoy Life, Eat Safe and Be Healthy. As one of the first company to be awarded the title of National Food Education Centre, Shinho was again invited to participate in the day event. We were responsible for introducing to the public all knowledge regarding soy sauce.
The idea of National Food Safety Promotion Week materialised in 2011 at The Commission on Food Safety Office of the State Council. It was decided that a week in June would be used to establish communication platforms and host educational events for the public. Shinho is an industry benchmark for food safety, and we participate in the National Food Safety Promotion Week every year. In doing so, Shinho is actively taking on the social responsibilities of a food company. We innovate and explore ways to help our society to enjoy safe food.
Around 10 am, authorities from National Medical Products Administration, Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology and China Association for Science and Technology attended the award ceremony. They gave high regard to the exemplary role took on by National Food Education Centre in food safety. Shinho and five other companies were awarded the National Food Education Centre plaque.
Shinho Food Discovery Centre, our National Food Education Centre, was established in 2012. It was designed for different age groups with multiple tour route choices through various functional sections where educational materials were seamlessly incorporated into the experience. Students from different grades can learn and have fun at the same time. Shinho is determined to offer comprehensive food education and lead the effort in building a new food ecosystem.
The National Food Education Centre plaque reconfirmed Shinho's food philosophy, but it also represented a responsibility on our shoulder. We will continue to set examples for the industry in the future and provide great products for consumers around the world. We want our family to live a healthy and happy life and rest assured at every meal
Shinho brought our products to the Food Safety Week Day Event and received wide compliments from the attendees. We fully embraced our role as one of the National Food Education Centre and introduced soy sauce fermentation methods and healthy food ecosystem to consumers. There was also a live demonstration on how to pour soy sauce the traditional way.
'What is this, sir?' 'This is the soybeans used for LIU YUE XIAN soy sauce, little one.' Our staff onsite patiently answered children's questions when they were mesmerised by the animation for soy sauce production.
The ancient Chinese wisdom dictates 'food is the foundation of life while food safety is a priority. Guard our borders and protect our tongues.' From the very first day, Shinho has placed food safety as our number one priority. We are firm believers of what we would not eat cannot be sold. We have created a closed circle safety management system; our past quality management model with factory director at the centre of decision making has been modified to have the manager of each production stage under the spotlight. Food quality and after-sale safety management platform were built and supported by big data. We have also introduced artificial intelligence to control every part of the production to make safety improvement and scientific progress.
