Original intention of the change

China’s first organic soy sauce launched by Hona Organic in 2002 fills the gap in the industry. In 2006, it took the lead in passing the organic certification of four countries (organization) (China, the United States, Japan and the EU). Internal upgrading

We care about your diet health so we optimized the labeling unit of nutrient composition table and significantly reduced the sodium content in this upgrade: -Marking unit upgrade: Adjustment from “10ml per pcs” to “10g per pcs”, improving the mark accuracy. -Decrease of sodium content: On the basis of ensuring that the 500ml product is not diluted additionally and the super quality remains unchanged, we reduced the sodium content from 568mg/10ml to 460mg/10g. -Taste optimization: The adjusted soy sauce tastes lighter and softer, and each drop perfectly combine color, fragrance and taste properly, providing each consumer with healthier dietary choices.

External upgrading

1. Strict compliance and transparent information We updated the product packages in advance in strict accordance with the latest national regulation, i.e., the Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Food Labeling and the requirements of GB 7718 (implemented as of March 16, 2027) to ensure the compliance of label with the requirements. To be specific, we removed the icons, such as “0% additive” to make the packaging information more standardized and clearer.
Statement about the “sugar contents” which consumers may concern: The sweetness of Hona organic soy sauce comes from the natural brewing process! In organic brewing, the starch of organic wheat is naturally converted into sugar by microorganism, which is a natural product of traditional technology instead of artificial addition. The newly packaged product contains only 0.3g sugars per 10g, which means extremely low content. Despite the small content, the sugar can be combined with salty and fresh flavors delicately to form a unique flavor of soy sauce. Our product strictly follows the organic standards so please use it at ease.
2. Eco-friendly and convenient upgraded organic code The original paper organic code is upgraded into an electronic organic code (QR code), which can be scanned to query the organic information. Such design facilitates operation and is eco-friendly, coinciding with our concept of green consumption.
3. The upgraded bottle cap brings amazing experience We have invested more than RMB 3 million upgrading the bottle cap mold and supporting facilities, to enhance the user experience from 3 dimensions. Quality is generally reflected by details. Our care and concern can be found by consumers upon their use.
Highlights of upgrade: Optimal cover edge, so that consumers could open the lid easily with one hand. Texture upgrade: Optimal raw materials; the precision molds make the bottle cap look better with smooth and delicate touch. The overall texture also becomes advanced. Structural upgrade: Optimal sealing performance and higher and more stable quality. The ergonomic pull ring can avoid finger injury; the optimized soy sauce outlet increases the angle of liquid surface, to return the liquid faster, reduce residue and improve safety.
