Shinho shoulders the responsibility in this battle against COVID-19.
Corporate NewsFlowers arrive on the tree as March comes. We are seeing countless good news from the front line: "Qiaokou MCH, Wuhan Stadium ceased operation", "daily mask productive capacity and output exceeds 100 million", "total recovered and discharged patient number accounts for more than half of the confirmed cases"...What we achieved in the fight against COVID-19 is made possible by the soldiers who went to the battlefield without hesitation and people following the quarantine regulation. As a local food company from Shandong Province, Shinho hopes to contribute to the fight against COVID-19 and protect our home.
Soon after the outbreak, Shinho immediately set up a COVID-19 prevention team and decided to allocate all the charity budget of the year to combat against COVID-19. So far, we have made six donations. We donated organic vegetables, rice and Shinho products to frontline workers in Yantai. We also delivered packaged condiments to areas that are affected by the pandemic in Hubei.
We encountered many obstacles when making donations to mobile cabin hospitals in Hubei. But we believed there is always a solution. With the help of our colleagues from the local office, we were able to get in touch with the volunteers at the mobile cabin hospitals and expressed our desire to help. After days of communication, the volunteers informed us that as long as we could deliver the supplies to Wuhan, they'd take on the responsibility of collecting, donating and distributing. They also promised that the process will be open and transparent.
When choosing the products to donate, we specifically chose two ready-to-eat side dish products - Shinho Your Sauce and Shinho Soy Sauce (5ml). The first product is nutritional and the second one has convenient and hygienic packaging. The next step was dealing with the logistics, which was the most difficult part in the whole process.
"As liquid products such as soy sauce were not allowed to be posted by air, we decided to give priority to truck transportation. After contacting dozens of freight companies, all the drivers who were willing to work were already occupied. To find a vehicle right then and there, we needed to issue a series of documents such as release certificates, cargo security certificates, vehicle passes and pick-up authorisation. This could take a long time.
As a second best option, we opted for rail transport. After deciding on the plan and arranging the train, on the very next day, we sent the cargo from our warehouse to the designated station. Early morning, the train loaded with Shinho's love departed from Yantai to Hubei. Immediately after the train started, we contacted our business partner in Hubei, informing him to vacate their warehouse to take in the cargo so that the volunteers to pick up the donation. After receiving our call, our partner agreed to help without hesitation. Even though the loaders were not working during that time, our partner told us: ""It's okay. We will do it ourselves.""
"
After a long journey of 7 days, the shipment finally arrived in Wuhan. It was late at night and raining heavily, but the volunteers worked tirelessly to distribute our donation to different mobile cabin hospitals across Wuhan city. We received the photos from the front line, seeing them doing their part to help. We had nothing but respect for them.
It's our duty to protect our home.
Other than helping Hubei, Shinho also never forgot about our hometown, Yantai. Immediately after COVID-19 broke out, the government workers ended their holiday early and returned to their posts. The heavy workload greatly affected their health. Knowing this, Shinho took the initiative to organise a donation.
The company efficiently set up a pandemic donation team, made donation plans, coordinated product allocation, organic vegetables harvesting and transportation and loading of goods. We finished preparing all the donation items in only 4 hours. To ensure freshness, all organic vegetables were picked on the same day of delivery. Disinfection was guaranteed throughout the harvesting and packing process. The picking, transportation and delivery staff are all fully protected.
Jiang Junwu, General Manager of Shinho and the President of the Yantai Chamber of Commerce for Young Entrepreneurs, paid close attention to the development of COVID-19. In the light of the decision-making and deployment by the Party Central Committee, Mr. Jiang Junwu followed the guidance from the municipal government, and issued the "Initiative by Yantai Chamber of Commerce for Young Entrepreneurs to Combat COVID-19". On behalf of the Chamber, he donated a large number of organic vegetables from Sunrise Harvest and products from Shinho, In the event held by the Communist Youth League of Yantai for the families of 25 medical workers from Yantai who went to the frontline in Hubei, he sent his regards to them and wished them a triumphant return.
Following the outbreak, in two weeks, Shinho donated over 600kg of fresh organic vegetables, 840kg high-quality rice and more than 600 boxes of Shinho's condiments and snacks to the canteens at Yantai Development Zone and the traffic police brigades, providing safe meals for front line workers.
While the company were organising donations, the Party branch at Shinho was also helping out. Following the instruction from the higher authorities, we organised a donation event among the Party members at Shinho. We encouraged members to give what they can give voluntarily. As the donations were carried out in a pandemic, to facilitate the process, the Party branch at Shinho created a WeChat group dedicated for this purpose. Donations were made through WeChat "Red Packet" to ensure the transparency of the process. The person in charge calculated the money donated and disclosed the donation detail.
The money collected will be dedicated to rewarding the staff fighting on the front line, for the families severely affected by the pandemic, and for the families of those who sacrificed while fighting against COVID-19.
We are in this together.
Apart from doing our part to protect our home, it is also our responsibility to ensure an adequate supply of products vital to the people's livelihood. Since before the Chinese New Year, Shinho's food advisors have been standing by their posts, serving our customers in every way they can.
To ensure the safety of our frontline food advisors, we immediately allocated a budget to purchase masks for national distribution. We also arrange for non-front line staff to work from home to reduce the risk and save on masks.
Stands against wild meat consumption.

We keep in mind the importance of healthy eating, hygiene, food safety, kitchen disinfection, culinary heritage and craftsmanship. We are against the consumption of wild meat. We are determined to protect people's dinner tables. We will do our best to help in this fight against COVID-19.
"In order to win the fight against COVID-19, Shinho is determined to ensure the supply of essential products as well as protect the staff within the company. We set up an emergency prevention team at the first opportunity to monitor the health of all staff. The company also took initiatives to protect our staff as they returned to work. We arranged all offices to be disinfected and built health records for everyone. We encouraged the logistics team to work from home. We also gradually resumed production while ensuring the safety of our employees.
Throughout the production, employees were required to wear PPEs, including masks. We also set up a team to specifically collect, store and dispose used masks. We disinfected workshops, offices, canteens, dormitories and shuttles at least three times a day and kept records of it. We also ensured the ventilation of the indoor spaces. With rigour and attention to details, Shinho ensures a safe, healthy and abundant supply for the market."
Next, Shinho will continue to follow the Government's call and gather high-quality resources in the company. company. While ensuring the prevention and control of the pandemic, the company will continue its operation. This means we will meet the COVID-19 prevention and control standard as well as achieve economic growth. One world, one home. No one can sit and watch in this pandemic. As we work together to overcome the hardships and protect our home, the day when we defeat COVID-19 is just around the corner.
