In Chinese, the word 'dumpling' has the same pronunciation as 'gold nugget'; it is also shaped like one. Legend has it that these parcels of deliciousness were invented by one of the most prominent Chinese physicians of the olden time, Zhang Zhongjing, over one thousand and eight hundred years ago. Dumplings are one of the most popular food in China.

Method

  • Prepare a filling with scrambled eggs, shredded courgettes and shredded carrots.

  • Flavour the filling with WEI DA MEI Premium Oyster Sauce, vegetable oil, salt, spring onions and ginger paste. Make triangle shaped dumplings and steam cook them. Ready to serve.
